operating and securing the website;
preventing fraud, abuse and chargebacks;

protecting customers and payment systems;
maintaining business records;
handling customer-service enquiries;
improving products and fulfilment processes;
resolving disputes;
establishing, exercising or defending legal claims;
maintaining evidence of transactions; and
protecting Fragmented Music’s legal and commercial interests.
5.4 Consent
We rely on your consent where required for:
sending newsletter and marketing emails;
using non-essential analytics or performance cookies; and
any other optional processing for which we specifically request consent.
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link included in the email.
6. Squarespace
The website is hosted by Squarespace.
Squarespace provides services that may include:
website hosting;
website security;
commerce and checkout functionality;
order administration;
newsletter services;
invoicing;
analytics;
cookie management;
customer-account functionality; and
transactional emails.
Squarespace may process technical and usage information when you visit the website, including:
browser, network and device information;
your IP address;
pages viewed;
pages visited before arriving at the website;
session and security information; and
website-interaction data.
Squarespace also processes order and customer information as necessary to provide its services to Fragmented Music.
Some information may also be processed by Squarespace for its own independent purposes, as described in Squarespace’s own privacy documentation.
7. Squarespace Analytics
We use Squarespace Analytics to understand general website traffic and activity.
Depending on your consent choices, analytics information may include:
page views;
traffic sources;
referring websites;
visitor numbers;
approximate location;
clicks;
searches;
session activity;
device and browser information;
conversion activity; and

We do not currently use:

TikTok Pixel; or
advertising cookies.
Analytics information is used to understand website performance, improve navigation and learn which pages and products receive interest.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files or pieces of text stored on your device when you visit a website.
The website may use the following categories of cookies.
8.1 Necessary cookies
Necessary cookies support functions such as:
securely loading the website;
maintaining checkout sessions;
remembering shopping-cart contents;
processing orders;
preventing fraud and abuse;
maintaining security;
remembering cookie preferences; and
providing essential website functionality.
These cookies are required for the website to function and cannot always be disabled through the website.
8.2 Analytics and performance cookies
Analytics and performance cookies help us understand how visitors use the website.
These cookies are restricted until the relevant consent is provided through the cookie banner.
You may decline non-essential cookies or change your preferences through the available cookie controls.
Withdrawing or refusing consent for analytics cookies does not prevent you from making a purchase.
8.3 Cookie duration
Cookies may be:
session cookies, which expire when you close your browser; or
persistent cookies, which remain for a defined period or until removed.
Cookie duration depends on the specific cookie and the settings applied by Squarespace or another relevant service provider.
You may also manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may affect website or checkout functionality.
9. Newsletter and marketing communications
We use Squarespace’s email-marketing functionality to send newsletters to people who have actively subscribed.
We may process your email address and subscription information to:
send music, merchandise or project updates;
announce releases or new products;
send promotional information;
manage newsletter preferences;
document consent; and
process unsubscribe requests.
You can unsubscribe at any time through the link at the bottom of a marketing email.
After you unsubscribe, we may retain a minimal suppression record to ensure that your address is not accidentally added back to the active mailing list without a new lawful basis.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential communications about an order or service request.
10. Orders and print-on-demand fulfilment
Fragmented Music uses print-on-demand fulfilment. We do not normally keep our own stock.
Orders may be produced, packaged and shipped through:
Printify;
PODpartner;
print providers connected to those platforms; and
carriers selected by those fulfilment providers.
To produce and deliver your order, we may share:
your name;
email address;
telephone number;
delivery address;
billing information where required;
product and variant details;
product dimensions;
order number;
fulfilment instructions; and
other information necessary to produce, package and ship the order.
Printify and PODpartner may pass necessary information to their production partners and shipping carriers.
The specific production facility or shipping provider may depend on the product, availability, destination and fulfilment network.
These providers may also supply Fragmented Music with order-status, tracking, delivery, quality-control and replacement information.
11. Shipping carriers
Printify and PODpartner generally select and arrange the shipping carrier used for an order.
Personal data required for delivery may therefore be shared with the selected:
postal service;
courier;
delivery partner;
customs agent; or
logistics provider.
This may include your name, delivery address, telephone number, email address, order reference and parcel information.
A carrier may contact you directly where necessary to complete delivery or provide tracking information.
12. Payments
Payments may be processed through services including:
Squarespace Payments;
Stripe;
PayPal;
Apple Pay;
Google Pay;
supported credit-card or debit-card networks; and
other payment options displayed at checkout.
The selected payment provider processes payment information according to its own privacy policy and legal obligations.
Fragmented Music receives only the information necessary to confirm, administer, refund or investigate the transaction.
Apple Pay and Google Pay may process information according to the account and privacy settings you maintain with Apple or Google.
13. Automated tax calculation
Squarespace may use Stripe or related services to calculate applicable taxes during checkout.
For tax calculations, information may include:
your billing address;
your delivery address;
your name;
product details;
product tax codes;
transaction amount; and
applicable jurisdiction.
This information is used to calculate and record taxes connected to the purchase.
14. Fraud prevention
Squarespace Payments and its service providers may use fraud-monitoring and fraud-detection tools.
This may involve providers such as:
Stripe; and
Sift.
Fraud monitoring may consider information such as:
payment and transaction information;
IP address;
device and browser information;
billing and delivery details;
transaction history;
authentication information; and
fraud-risk signals.
Automated systems may flag, delay or block a transaction for further review.
Fragmented Music does not intentionally make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely through its own automated profiling. Where appropriate and reasonably possible, a flagged transaction may be reviewed or discussed with the customer.
We may refuse or cancel transactions where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, payment abuse or unlawful activity.
15. Address autocomplete
During checkout, the website may use the Google Places API to provide address suggestions.
When you enter address information, part of what you type and related technical information may be sent to Google so that suggested addresses can be returned.
Google processes this information according to its own privacy terms.
You should verify that any automatically suggested address is complete and correct before submitting an order.
16. Fonts
This website uses or may use font files provided through:
Google Fonts; and
Adobe Fonts.
When a font is loaded from a third-party server, the relevant provider may receive technical information including:
your IP address;
browser information;
device or network information;
the webpage requesting the font; and
the date and time of the request.
Google and Adobe process such information according to their own privacy policies.
17. Service and transactional emails
We may send non-marketing emails relating to:
an order confirmation;
payment status;
production;
fulfilment;
shipment and tracking;
delivery issues;
returns;
refunds;
replacement products;
customer-service requests;
account security, if relevant; and
changes materially affecting a purchase.
These communications are necessary to provide the requested service or administer the purchase. It is generally not possible to unsubscribe from essential order and service communications while the relevant transaction or request remains active.
18. Recipients of personal data
Depending on the interaction, personal data may be shared with:
Squarespace;
Squarespace Payments;
Stripe;
Sift;
PayPal;
Apple;
Google;
Adobe;
Printify;
PODpartner;
connected print providers;
shipping and logistics providers;
tax-calculation providers;
professional advisers;
insurers;
public authorities;
courts; and
law-enforcement or regulatory bodies.
We only share personal data where reasonably necessary for the stated purpose, where you have authorised it, or where disclosure is permitted or required by law.
Fragmented Music does not sell or rent personal data.
We do not provide customer information to third parties for their own independent direct-marketing purposes.
19. International data transfers
Fragmented Music is based in the Netherlands, but some service providers, production facilities, servers or recipients may be located outside the European Economic Area.
This may include processing in countries where:
Squarespace or its providers operate;
payment or fraud-prevention providers operate;
Google or Adobe provides services;
Printify or PODpartner maintains facilities;
a product is manufactured; or
a shipment is processed.
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the transfer will be based on an applicable legal mechanism where required, such as:
a European Commission adequacy decision;
approved Standard Contractual Clauses;
another legally recognised transfer mechanism; or
a permitted GDPR exception in limited circumstances.
The privacy and transfer documentation of the relevant service provider may contain further information about its safeguards.
20. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, tax, accounting, consumer-protection and dispute-resolution requirements.
The following general retention periods apply.
20.1 Orders, invoices and financial records
Order, invoice, payment-administration and tax records may be retained for seven years, or longer where required by applicable law.
20.2 Customer service and complaints
Customer-service, return and complaint correspondence may be retained for up to two years after the matter has been resolved.
Information may be kept longer where reasonably necessary for:
a statutory guarantee;
an unresolved dispute;
fraud prevention;
a chargeback;
a legal claim; or
compliance with a legal obligation.
20.3 Newsletter information
Active newsletter information is retained until you unsubscribe or we discontinue the relevant mailing list.
After unsubscribing, we may retain limited information necessary to document the request and prevent unwanted resubscription.
20.4 Analytics information
Analytics information is retained according to the retention options and settings made available through Squarespace.
Where possible, analytics information may be aggregated or de-identified.
20.5 Customer accounts
If customer-account functionality is enabled or used, account information may be retained while the account remains active.
After closure, information may be deleted or anonymised, except where particular records must remain connected to an order, invoice, legal obligation or dispute.
20.6 Fraud and security information
Fraud-prevention and security information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect transactions, respond to disputes and prevent repeated fraudulent activity.
When information is no longer necessary, it will be deleted, anonymised or securely disposed of, subject to the technical capabilities and retention duties of the relevant service providers.
21. Security
We take reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal data against:
unauthorised access;
accidental loss;
alteration;
disclosure;
destruction;
misuse; and
unlawful processing.
The website is hosted through Squarespace and uses the security functionality provided by that platform.
Payments are handled by specialised payment providers rather than being stored directly by Fragmented Music.
No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should contact us if you believe information connected to Fragmented Music has been compromised.
22. Children and parental permission
The website is not specifically directed at children.
Children and minors are expected to use the website and place orders only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian where required.
Fragmented Music cannot independently verify the age or parental permission of every visitor or customer.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal data without appropriate permission, contact us at fragmentedmusicnl@gmail.com.
Where appropriate and legally required, we will take reasonable steps to delete or restrict the relevant information.

receive information about how your personal data is used;
request access to your personal data;
request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
request deletion of personal data;
request restriction of processing;
object to processing based on legitimate interests;
object to direct marketing;
withdraw consent;
request data portability;
receive information about relevant automated decision-making; and

These rights are not absolute. A request may be limited or refused where permitted by law, including where information must be retained for legal, tax, contractual, fraud-prevention or legal-claims purposes.
Exercising your rights
To exercise a privacy right, contact:
Please clearly describe your request and identify the email address or order information connected to the data.
We may request reasonable information to confirm your identity before responding. This is intended to prevent personal data from being disclosed or altered improperly.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Under the GDPR, this is generally within one month, although the period may be extended where legally permitted for complex or numerous requests.
You will generally not be charged for exercising your rights. A reasonable fee may be charged, or a request may be refused, where permitted by law and the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
24. Right to object
Where we rely on legitimate interests, you may object to the processing based on your particular situation.
We will stop the relevant processing unless:
we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your rights and interests; or
the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
You may object to direct marketing at any time. When you object to direct marketing, your personal data will no longer be used for that purpose.
25. Withdrawing consent
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
You may:
unsubscribe through the link in a marketing email;
change available cookie preferences; or
email fragmentedmusicnl@gmail.com.
Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred lawfully before the withdrawal.
Necessary cookies and information required to administer an existing order may continue to be processed on another legal basis.
26. Complaints
You are encouraged to contact Fragmented Music first so that we can attempt to resolve your concern.
You also have the right to submit a complaint to the Dutch supervisory authority:
Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens
You may alternatively contact the supervisory authority in the European Union or European Economic Area country where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred.

send music, merchandise or project updates;
announce releases or new products;
send promotional information;
manage newsletter preferences;
document consent; and
process unsubscribe requests.
Printify;
PODpartner;
print providers connected to those platforms; and
carriers selected by those fulfilment providers.
To produce and deliver your order, we may share:
your name;
email address;
telephone number;
delivery address;
billing information where required;
product and variant details;
product dimensions;
order number;
fulfilment instructions; and
other information necessary to produce, package and ship the order.
Personal data required for delivery may therefore be shared with the selected:
postal service;
courier;
delivery partner;
customs agent; or
logistics provider.
This may include your name, delivery address, telephone number, email address, order reference and parcel information.
A carrier may contact you directly where necessary to complete delivery or provide tracking information.
12. Payments
Payments may be processed through services including:
Squarespace Payments;
Stripe;
PayPal;
Apple Pay;
Google Pay;
supported credit-card or debit-card networks; and
other payment options displayed at checkout.
For tax calculations, information may include:
your billing address;
your delivery address;
your name;
product details;
product tax codes;
transaction amount; and
applicable jurisdiction.
This information is used to calculate and record taxes connected to the purchase.
14. Fraud prevention
Squarespace Payments and its service providers may use fraud-monitoring and fraud-detection tools.
This may involve providers such as:
Stripe; and
Sift.
Fraud monitoring may consider information such as:
payment and transaction information;
IP address;
device and browser information;
billing and delivery details;
transaction history;
authentication information; and
fraud-risk signals.
When a font is loaded from a third-party server, the relevant provider may receive technical information including:
your IP address;
browser information;
device or network information;
the webpage requesting the font; and
the date and time of the request.
Google and Adobe process such information according to their own privacy policies.
17. Service and transactional emails
We may send non-marketing emails relating to:
an order confirmation;
payment status;
production;
fulfilment;
shipment and tracking;
delivery issues;
returns;
refunds;
replacement products;
customer-service requests;
account security, if relevant; and
changes materially affecting a purchase.
These communications are necessary to provide the requested service or administer the purchase. It is generally not possible to unsubscribe from essential order and service communications while the relevant transaction or request remains active.
18. Recipients of personal data
Depending on the interaction, personal data may be shared with:
Squarespace;
Squarespace Payments;
Stripe;
Sift;
PayPal;
Apple;
Google;
Adobe;
Printify;
PODpartner;
connected print providers;
shipping and logistics providers;
tax-calculation providers;
professional advisers;
insurers;
public authorities;
courts; and
law-enforcement or regulatory bodies.
Squarespace or its providers operate;
payment or fraud-prevention providers operate;
Google or Adobe provides services;
Printify or PODpartner maintains facilities;
a product is manufactured; or
a shipment is processed.
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the transfer will be based on an applicable legal mechanism where required, such as:
a European Commission adequacy decision;
approved Standard Contractual Clauses;
another legally recognised transfer mechanism; or
a permitted GDPR exception in limited circumstances.
Information may be kept longer where reasonably necessary for:
a statutory guarantee;
an unresolved dispute;
fraud prevention;
a chargeback;
a legal claim; or
compliance with a legal obligation.
21. Security
We take reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal data against:
unauthorised access;
accidental loss;
alteration;
disclosure;
destruction;
misuse; and
unlawful processing.
23. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have the right to:
receive information about how your personal data is used;
request access to your personal data;
request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
request deletion of personal data;
request restriction of processing;
object to processing based on legitimate interests;
object to direct marketing;
withdraw consent;
request data portability;
receive information about relevant automated decision-making; and
submit a complaint to a supervisory authority.
You may:
unsubscribe through the link in a marketing email;
change available cookie preferences; or
email fragmentedmusicnl@gmail.com.
27. Third-party privacy policies
The service providers named in this Privacy Policy maintain their own privacy notices.
You should review those notices where you want further information about how a provider processes personal data for its own purposes.
Relevant providers include:
Squarespace;
Stripe;
Sift;
PayPal;
Apple;
Google;
Adobe;
Printify; and
PODpartner.
Links to third-party privacy documentation may be provided on the website or through the relevant provider’s service.
28. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect:
changes to the website;
new products or services;
changes to service providers;
changes to data-processing activities;
legal or regulatory developments; or
improvements to the clarity of this policy.
The updated policy will be published on fragmentednl.com with a revised “Last updated” date.
